About

Counsellor and Psychotherapist in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

About Me

I describe myself as a Relational and Developmental Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. This means I facilitate a space and offer a relationship that supports people to experience life in the fullest way that is available to them.

I am a fully qualified UKCP accredited Relational-Integrative and humanistic Psychotherapist and a Member of the British association of counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I have been a practising counsellor/ psychotherapist within Peterborough Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas for the past 12 years. I hold a Masters (MSc) in Integrative Psychotherapy and am trained to offer both short-term and long-term Counselling and Psychotherapy.

As a practitioner I have a keen interest in how our mental health connects to the illnesses within the body. Thus, I help to make mind, body and spiritual connections in a safe environment which facilitates the healing of historical psychological wounds. It is by improving the relationship with our bodies, minds, and social relationships that we see this healing transpire.

How I Can Help

You may be struggling with a range of issues from, relational difficulties, to the loss of a loved one or a traumatic past. You may not know the cause and could be feeling lost or stuck.

Whatever the issue, we all present in individual ways, and I offer to tailor a therapy that will be right for you. I appreciate how difficult it can be to reach out for help at such times and find the right professional support for your needs. My warm and nurturing approach will provide you with a non-judgemental environment to help explore and understand your difficulties.

These difficulties may be due to recent events or current stressors, or they could be contributed by past events that continue to shape how we think, behave and feel.

As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I will provide a space that will help you to work through your challenges. At times it may simply be a space to tell your untold painful story, to feel heard and not judged. At other times it could be a space to help make practical changes to your lifestyle and manage thoughts and behaviours.

These are just some of the issues I have worked with.

I have a professional interest in culture and bi-cultural identity and attend to this within the therapeutic relationship. I can help navigate psychotherapeutic conversations from both a personal perspective, being an Asian woman and my professional learning and knowledge as a Psychotherapist.
